HELLO THERE
I started this amazing entrepreneurial adventure in 2015 when I was pregnant with my son. I loved photographing scenery and lifestyle moments, but I had never taken a portrait before. I thought since I was just about to have a baby, this is the perfect time to test out my portrait skills. And what do you know...I was really bad at it. Haha. But I was determined and I don't like to except failure, so after a ton of practice, tutorials, and trial and error my horrible photography skills turned into an amazing and beautiful career possibility. I decided to pursue my passion for photography and turn a small hobby into a hobby/business shortly after my son was born. I opened Miyamoto Photography, photographing everything under the sun for pennies and experience for my first year. During that first year I grew my knowledge, experience, technique and confidence to run my photography studio as a business instead of a hobby and I never looked back. Now I specialize in maternity, newborn, milestone cake smash sessions. I absolutely love photographing mommas and babies. The tiny fingers and toes, little giggles and the look on mommas face as she caresses her baby belly is the best. I have the best job ever!
In 2019, I opened my second business, Little Rose Props, making handmade and custom photography props for other photographers. I decided to open this business shortly after my baby daughter had a massive brain injury in the hopes to bring in some extra income to pay medical bills. But this business couldn't have opened at a better time for my family. We opened just a couple months before the pandemic, so not only did we have the extra hospital bills, but my photography business was shut down for eight months. Little Rose Props was a blessing in disguise.
Halfway through 2021, we decided to expand Little Rose Props to include items for everyone resulting in us opening our online stone The Happy Box Company. We now have graphic apparel, gifts, self-defense items for women and so much more.
I am so incredibly grateful to my wonderful family for supporting me with all my crazy and extravagant ideas and standing beside me every step of the way. I am also so grateful to my amazing clients and customers who has continued to come back year after year and support my small business. I would be nowhere without you.
